Replace Multiple Missing Teeth in a Row

Dental bridges are a popular solution for individuals who have lost multiple teeth in a row. Bridges consist of artificial teeth, known as pontics, which are anchored to the remaining natural teeth on either side of the gap. This helps restore your smile’s appearance and improve your ability to speak and chew. Davinci Smiles uses high-quality materials and state-of-the-art techniques to ensure your dental bridge is comfortable, functional, and long-lasting.

Reasons You May Need Dental Bridges:

  • You have one or more missing teeth in a row
  • You want to improve the appearance of your smile
  • You have difficulty speaking or chewing due to missing teeth
  • You want to prevent the remaining teeth from shifting out of place
  • You want a non-invasive solution that does not require surgery
  • You want a durable and long-lasting solution for missing teeth

Types of Dental Bridges:

Traditional Bridges:

This type of bridge consists of one or more pontics anchored by dental crowns on the natural teeth on either side of the gap.

Cantilever Bridges

This type of bridge is used when there is only one natural tooth next to the gap. The pontic is anchored to the single natural tooth.

Maryland-Bonded Bridges:

This type of bridge is made of porcelain teeth anchored to a metal framework. The metal wings are bonded to the back of the natural teeth.

Implant-Supported Bridges for Optimal Stability

For those who desire a more stable and long-lasting solution, implant-supported bridges may be a good option. This type of bridge involves placing dental implants in the jawbone to serve as anchors for the pontic. Implant-supported bridges provide optimal stability and durability and help preserve the jawbone by stimulating natural bone growth. At Davinci Smiles, we offer implant-supported bridges for those with multiple missing teeth or who want the added security of dental implants.

How Dental Bridges Replace Teeth

Dental bridges are designed to replace missing teeth by anchoring artificial teeth, or pontics, to the remaining natural teeth on either side of the gap. During the procedure, the natural teeth on either side of the gap are prepared to receive dental crowns, which serve as anchors for the pontics. The pontic is then attached to the crowns, creating a bridge that spans the gap.

Your Complete Dental Bridge Journey

At Davinci Smiles, we are committed to making your dental bridge journey as smooth and comfortable as possible. Depending on your specific needs, your bridge may be completed in one visit using our advanced CEREC in-office Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacture (CAD/CAM) technology. If two visits are required, here’s what you can expect:

  • First Appointment: We will take a digital scan using a camera to create a detailed map and model of your teeth. This information will be used to create your custom bridge, pontic, and dental crowns at our trusted dental lab. We’ll also provide you with a temporary bridge to wear while your permanent restoration is being made.
  • Second Appointment: We will remove the temporary bridge and carefully place your permanent restoration. Our dentist will ensure your new dental bridge fits comfortably and functions correctly, leaving you with a beautiful and functional smile.
