How Dental Bridges Replace Teeth

Dental bridges are designed to replace missing teeth by anchoring artificial teeth, or pontics, to the remaining natural teeth on either side of the gap. During the procedure, the natural teeth on either side of the gap are prepared to receive dental crowns, which serve as anchors for the pontics. The pontic is then attached to the crowns, creating a bridge that spans the gap.

Your Complete Dental Bridge Journey

At Davinci Smiles, we are committed to making your dental bridge journey as smooth and comfortable as possible. Depending on your specific needs, your bridge may be completed in one visit using our advanced CEREC in-office Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacture (CAD/CAM) technology. If two visits are required, here’s what you can expect:

First Appointment: We will take a digital scan using a camera to create a detailed map and model of your teeth. This information will be used to create your custom bridge, pontic, and dental crowns at our trusted dental lab. We’ll also provide you with a temporary bridge to wear while your permanent restoration is being made.
Second Appointment: We will remove the temporary bridge and carefully place your permanent restoration. Our dentist will ensure your new dental bridge fits comfortably and functions correctly, leaving you with a beautiful and functional smile.
